It's been lousy day.
Fever was gone when I went to bed last night, back this morning, gone again now. Wish I knew what my body was doing.
Tummy has been supremely evil today. Left the apartment at 6:30 to go study (as per my usual routine). Started feeling really sick and by 7:30 decided I needed Zofran if I was gonna make it through the day. Tummy killing me by the time I get back to the apartment, so I figure I'll just lay on my bed for a few minutes till the pain and waves of nausea pass, then go to class. Wrong. Laid in bed with tummy pain and icky weak feeling until almost noon. Hate that feeling. It's like a black hole of pain has formed in my gut and is sucking all the warmth and strength out of the rest of my body, leaving me cold, weak, and shakey.
Forced myself to go to lab.Spilled weird brominated crap all over my hand. Burned my finger on a hot test tube. Lab didn't work in the end ($&@* grignard reagent). Started over 3 times, still didn't get product. Finally told to go home, 'you can redo it tomorrow.'
Turned in my plan for my independent project. Got rejected 'cause it oxidizes an alcohol (stupid reason. the reaction will work. it's a pretty standard reaction for organic labs. Can't be any more difficult than this *%#@ Grignard reaction we're doing today), so now have to find a new project. Most of the good ones are already taken.
Got my grades for last term. My final average was an 89.74%. If I'd gotten one more question right on the final I would have has an A. 89.74% Could he have not rounded up?!?!?!
