Since watching the contestants' auditions I had the feeling this season would have been an utter disaster...but after watching a couple of recaps I'm entirely sure.
If I were in the US and all I had to do to watch AI was to tune in I'd probably do it, but given that I have to download it I really think I'll pass (unless Cook or Kradam decide to show themselves).
It's not fault of this season's contestants' if they're just so average...I need my Cook/Lambert fix...someone to do something that makes me fall of the chair.
Like last year's "Ring of Fire"...I was a bit reluctant at first, but now I love it lots (even though I think Randy Travis' faces at Adam still are among the highlights of the whole history of AI mentors).
What saddens me even more is the thought of "The X-Factor" arriving in the US...I don't like the way it works at all.
We've got it here in Italy and I've even seen the UK edition (just to keep exercising my British English...I tend to listen to too much American English) but I can't bring myself to like it.
How can a musical group compete against a solo singer? It just has no criteria...it's stupid and meaningless!!
Anyhow, looking forward to waking up tomorrow to an all-new episode of my beloved "Lost", I'll let myself be happy at the thought of Adam starting to be know in Italy (I keep on seeing "Whataya Want From Me" on the RTL 102.5 channel!!) thanks to wonderful posts like
this one.
And by the way I just love "Voodoo" and I really really hope "FYE" international edition will get released here!!
