Alcohol: Intoxicating liquor containing alcohol
When you’re a teenager (in America) weekends consist on how your going to get "wasted". You live for parties that the host bought a keg, you go to that shady Chinese store on seventh street to buy forties because they don’t card you. And if you’re lucky, one of your older cousin dupped their id so you can get into the bars on 2nd street and Olde City.
Forties:
Summertime and drinking in the park. When we had to bring out big bags because we would stick them in there when the cops drove by. "Pre-gaming" at someone’s house before a party or bar so you didn’t have to spend that much money on drinks. Probably the only drink you won’t be drinking after you turn twenty one.
Cranberry and Vodka:
Getting dressed up to go to The Shamrock and Jr’s. Making sure you looked like the picture on your I.D. because if they told you to go home you’d have nothing to do. Dancing to "double dutch bus" and "come on Eileen". Walking home at 2 after the bar closed and complaining to your best friend that your feet are crying because you wore those five inch heels. And that one time you threw up from 3 ‘til 7 and then vowed you were never going to drink cranberry and vodka again.
Shots:
When it’s a Monday night at Harry-O’s and you’ve already had two vodka and cranberries or four beers. You’re a little buzzed but not drunk. Someone buys you a shot and the next thing you know you’ve taken four. One of Jose, two washington apples and one of pucker. The rooms spinning and you have to hold your hair back as you throw your guts up in the bathroom. Your friend stands there fixing her makeup and waiting for you to get done so you can join her on the dance floor.
Wasted: To be extremely intoxicated after the use of alcohol
One of the many words you use to describe your Saturday night when your telling someone that wasn’t there. You’ll probably use this word more than you say "I love you" or call your parents on your cell phone. You’ll make horrible choices when your this, and say things you wouldn’t have said if you weren’t. But they’ll be good times too. You’ll wake up on Sunday morning and relive the memories with your best friend and laugh for hours about what happened. You’ll live your youth and not waste it, but you might be a little wasted during it.
