I'm going off the rails on the Crazy Train....

Jul 21, 2006 23:46

After work tonight, I turn the key and Black Sabbath's "Crazy Train" is playing and I think, "how appropriate."

Today was crazy and it sucked. This morning was fine, and then the afternoon started with me being slightly irratated that Brandon wasn't able to get off work on time and that delayed him getting home by a half hour. I really needed him home, so I could enjoy him before I went to work and so I could ask him if it was ok for Chandler and I to go eat out and shop tomorrow night. (He said it was fine.)

So I'm on my way to work, and I want to ask Brandon to get the mail, and now he's not answering his phone (b/c he as in the shower, which I didn't know) and so I was annoyed at that and left a couple of messages stating such. There's only everyone in Lexington out on the road, and I finally make it to work, 3 minutes late. I turn to the schedule wall to remind myself of my duty tonight, and I find next week's schedule already up. It was early. I start to look at it and I'm like WTF...? I'm not available before 2p on Sun-Fri (because of church and then my morning class) and not available at all on Tues and Thurs. George has scheduled me for Wednesday opening, Thursday mid, and Friday mid. That infurated me! How many times must I give him my availablity!?! I've given it to him twice and he still screws it up! What's worse is that I have to change my availibility again in a few weeks! ARGH!

I thought I was going to have to deal with Robin, and we don't have much of a relationship, and when I tell her that my schedule's wrong, she heaves a heavy sigh and rolls her eyes. I was ready to strangle her. So I went and did my thing, and learned that due to some people's lack of concideration for their coworkers decided not to show up. (again, for some.) So I had to take my lunch 40 minutes early (before Brian left) so I could have a lunch at all. That was my only break all night. I'm so tired now and my feet are killing me. Tomorrow I open and I hope I work with Shiloh or Dusty or even Mike. I don't like being up there all alone on really busy mornings.

At the end of the night, after everyone had calmed down and I had done some kissing up to Robin (Yes, ma'am, no, ma'am, right away, ma'am...) I finally was able to write down what was wrong with my schedule so Robin could inform George. What a crazy day, and I'm ready to get off this train. Good night.
