History:

Beatrice, a quick overview of the main canon, Yasu and Clair

This will be helpful.

While Beatrice's history as a man has some differences from his female counterpart, there are some things that will remain the same. The tragedy, the games, the outcome of the story is still the same. If we play with the theory of multiverses and the cat's box, It's possible for Beatrice to be born as a man in the world where everyone has the opposite sex, and it's clear that the main events will keep happening.

Beatrice Castiglioni giving the gold to Kinzo. Kinzo and Bice falling in love. The birth of Kuwadorian Beatrice, Kinzo's madness and his own sin. Yasu's existence, the promise, Eva surviving, the truth not being reveled, Ange and her quest to find the truth, Maria's happiness, the wedding, Hachiyo Toya, the Fantasy Side.

With that said, let me be your guide to this story....
--

One cannot speak of Beatrice's history without writing Yasu's history. After all, they are really connected. And to speak about Yasu's history, one must understand the importance of the love Ushiromiya Kinzo and Beatrice Castiglioni once had.

Beatrice was a man born in Italy (and they named him Beatrice because they wanted a woman...), who participated in the Second World War along with a woman named Kinzo, who was pretending to be a boy. Beatrice, or Bice as he liked Kinzo to call him, arrived to Rokkenjima with a submarine with ten tons of gold. The only ones who could speak English from both sides were those two, and so began a relationship where they fell in love with each other.

However, the army did not think everything was nice and lovely, and as the greedy men they were, blood was scattered to see who would be the owner of such an amount of gold. Fate was twisted enough to kill everyone on that island except Kinzo and Bice. But Kinzo was a married woman without any love interest towards her husband. Bice then became the only person that Kinzo loved in secret and the owner of her heart. Kinzo did buy the whole island and ordered to build two mansions: the main one, and a secret one called Kuwadorian where Bice would live.

As expected from two people who loved each other, Kinzo got pregnant with Bice's child. Since then, Kinzo never felt more alive than ever before in her whole life. She hid herself, excusing with that she had to work, during the whole time. Sadly, when Kinzo was giving birth to their child, Bice had a heart attack and died next to his lover. Kinzo's life began to break into tiny pieces.

The child was raised in the Kuwadorian mansion without knowing about the world. Kinzo devoted herself into the dark arts to find a way to resurrect him, and the more her son grew up, the more he looked like him. Their child was a copy of Beatrice, in appearance and name. This lead to Kinzo to think herself that Beatrice was reborn inside him, although he was not aware of it until really late.

One has to understand how Kinzo's heart could react to seeing it, and then she committed her own sin. She slept with her own son thinking it was her lover's soul that was reincarnated in their son. Beatrice himself didn't know how to correspond those feelings except with doing what she wanted, only to see her happy even though part of him didn't understand it. Later, and without him realizing it, Kinzo got pregnant with his child, and did her best to hide it as well.

Beatrice then went outside the mansion when Rosiel found out about it and dragged him to know the world outside. Sadly, this small adventure to see the sea ended in another tragedy and when Beatrice was near a cliff, he fell down and died in a horrible way. Rosiel regretted it with all his heart and ran away towards the house. Later he would tell the Head Maid, Ginje, about the accident and would never speak about it never again.

The Head Maid then informed Kinzo about Beatrice's death, and she felt another great pain as her lover keeps dying without her being able to do anything to save him. Kinzo kept crying and then her child was born in secret again. She didn’t think she would be able to take care of the baby, and offered Natsuo to raise the child under the name of Lion, since Natsuo couldn't get Kassie pregnant. Natsuo felt really offended and fate twisted this rejection as a curse to that baby.

One day, Natsuo ordered a maid to leave for a stroll with the baby, and secretly hoped to never see it again. Again, this maid was walking with this child and ended up falling down from a cliff, causing her instant death. However, Ginje found out that the baby managed to survive, though his body was severely injured. This time, Ginje decided to not tell Kinzo about the kid being alive and sent the kid to an orphanage.

Here begins the story of Yasu, the child who survived the cliff, and whose sex is unknown.

Nine years later, Yasu returns to Rokkenjima as a Servant, however they introduce Yasu as a six year old so Natsuo wouldn't be suspicious about it. Then again, Yasu's life wasn't really easy. Most of the servants, to not say all of them, would often tease, mock or despise Yasu, except [Shannon] because of the special treatment Yasu received. Yasu wasn't really the most efficient servant, and was always losing the keys, which Yasu blamed to it being magic.

Yasu was interested in mystery novels and magic; and shared a room with [Shannon], who became Yasu's role model, and it's later revealed that [Shannon] was the same person as Yasu. When a new shift of servants came, Yasu said she was possessed by Beatrice, the ghost of Rokkenjima and ruler of Night, and played pranks of them. Slowly, Yasu became pretty interested in magic itself thus creating the personality of Beatrice.

With these two personalities, the main one turned out to be [Shannon] and Yasu wanted to be something else besides a Maid like [Shannon]. She wanted to be a Witch. During the conference in 1980, our lovely lady called Battler came to the island and [Shannon] fell in love with her. Then, Battler promised [Shannon] that she would come to rescue the prince on a white horse the next time she would see him, like in the stories. [Shannon] clung to that promise, flattered that someone like her would care for someone like him, but he never realized that she was joking.

During 1981, Battler's father’s death and her mother's remarriage made her get into a fight and leave the family, so she didn't come that year, and so Yasu thought this was a trial of love, often telling [Shannon] to not give up. In 1982, Battler didn't come either, and the family used to joke a lot about it, which hurt Yasu, making Yasu believe that waiting for it was a big torture and that he was a fool for believing in it. Even so, he kept waiting.

In 1983, Kyle gave the siblings some letters that Battler had written except to [Shannon]. This was the final proof that Battler was only playing with his heart, and so [Shannon] visits Beatrice, who did believe that [Shannon]'s love would only end with his life, so Yasu transferred [Shannon]'s love for Battler to Beatrice. Yasu promised to create a sister for [Shannon] so he wouldn't be lonely, creating the personality of [Kanon].

In 1984, Yasu spoke about magic terms with Mario, solved the epitaph, and learned the truth about being the child of Kinzo and Kuwadorian-Beatrice, which clearly made him see things different in Yasu's life, but Yasu only kept Beatrice's clothes, the key to the VIP Room, and the ten tons of gold. This acknowledged the personality of Beatrice on November 29th, 1984. The next two years, all of the personalities fell in love with one of the siblings, but all of them were incomplete because their soul was the same, it was only divided.

It was decided that at the conference of 1986, they would settle down who would be the one have their soul complete, but sadly Battler made it to this conference. It couldn't be settled because of the former love towards that woman, so Yasu decided to execute a more literal version of the epitaph and let fate decide the rest.

"Ah, so you wish to listen to my story. Sit down and enjoy the tea, my dearest one..."

After the whole incident in Rokkenjima where apparently everyone died, they opened their eyes to found themselves in the living room. Those who were dead were alive, enjoying the taste of the sweet tea, and Battler then realized that something was off and started denying what she was seeing since everyone was claiming that Beatrice revived them.

Beatrice, during the first game, introduced himself to Battler during the Tea Party, when she angrily declared that Sorcerers don't exist. He appeared in front of her, grabbing her in his arms with a smile when she fell down at the surprise. Then, he challenged her to prove that the whole incident was done by humans and not by magic. Bernkastel made an appearance to gamble for Battler to win, and Beatrice promised a good game to watch.

And so begua the second game, where Beatrice introduced himself in this Gameboard to provoke Battler. While they watched it in the Meta World, on the Game Board the days repeated themselves. This time, Beatrice was able to move around freely and the murders happened again. Battler tried to prove how could they be done with humans, but Beatrice cut down those theories with the powerful Red Truth.

The game continued, but Battler was having trouble to overcome Beatrice's Red Truths. Reaching the end, Batller almost gave up to think and was surrounded by Beatrice, who didn't wait to humiliate her by stripping her of her clothes and making her go with a collar around her neck. Yes, he was a kinky man, and he wanted to see her naked.

However, Battler regained her will to fight back and returned to deny that man, and also to kick his ass for stripping her clothes. To which he replied with more teasing and a good spanking to provoke her again. They moved to the third game now. This time, Beatrice didn't introduce himself as a piece to begin with.

This time, the family members were more focused to solve the epitaph, Beatrice's teacher Vergil made an appearance and they fought, ending with Beatrice's victory thanks to his cruel side. Since then, Virgil became a Guide to Battler and joined his side. [Eva] solved the epitaph and became [Eva-Beatrice].

The longer it went on, Battler struggled to try to deny his existence, but fell for the trap of the nice guy. At the End of the Episode three, Battler almost accepts Beatrice's existence but was interrupted by Angel, her little brother from ten years later.

So began the fourth game. During this one, Beatrice altered the order of the sacrifices, introduced more magical people and decided to test Battler to see if she remembered the promise. She didn't, which caused Beatrice to start being pissed off and hurt again, to the point of declaring in red that Battler wasn't an Ushiromiya.

Angel worked around it to restore Battler's confidence but at the cost of having to tell her who he was, breaking the only condition that Bernkastel gave to him. His flesh became meat and Angel disappeared from this game.

Battler decided to put an end to this by confronting Beatrice for the last time. Such confrontation of truths lead to Beatrice exposing his heart to Battler and the final riddle for her to solve.

So we reach the fifth game. Since there was no game Master, Lambdadelta took his place and played with the pieces with Bernkastel while Battler tried to solve Beatrice's riddle. For this time, Beatrice was chained to wait for Battler to finally kill him.

Later events lead her to participate in the Fifth Game, trying to prove Natsuo's innocence from Erik's theory. At the end of the fifth game, Battler managed to reach the truth but Beatrice was still killed. She manages to archive the title of the Game Master and decides to host the sixth game.

At the Sixth Game, Beatrice is revived without memories by Battler, and his one wish is to be loved by her. He spends almost all of the sixth game trying to find a way to prove her that he's worthy of Mother's love. He took the lover's trial and met another Beatrice that was a Sorcerer like him but had no reason to love Battler.

When Battler was trapped in the Logic Error and was in the wedding with Erik, Beatrice makes an appearance to challenge him once more. This time he starts behaving like his old self. Since he solved the Logic Error, Erik and him started a final duel in which Battler awakened and both of them over came him, winning the match. After it, they happily married each other.

During the Seventh Game, Beatrice didn't appear as himself. That was Lion's story.

We finally reach the last tale. The eight game is where this story ends. Here, it brings the possibility of Angel coming to the conference, trying to reach the truth of what happened that day. Beatrice and Battler receive everyone and show him a happy family, which Angel didn't believe.

Despite everything, Angel leaves to try to find it by himself along with Bernkastel. Then they realize that they are under attack of all the people outside the island that want to reach the same truth, trying to destroy the catbox. Their only escape was to open the door to the Golden Land where they would be safe.

Batler went after Angel to the church and found Erik as well. She asked Beatrice to take care of Angel while she and Erik had a badass duel of locked rooms. His wife might be useless, but surely knew how to make a badass move.

Later events end in the island being blown up with only two survivors. They are Battler and Beatrice, who managed to escape with one of the ingots with them. While they were escaping, Beatrice couldn't help but feel guilty for what had happened and decided to atone for his sins by drowning himself in the water.

He never imagined that his wife would come with him as well. The last thing he remembered was arriving to an island alone to die and reach the Golden Land with everyone else. Years later he would be able to meet with his wife once more.

She was always late for everything.

Personality:

Beatrice represents what one would expect from a sorcerer. He's mysterious, smart, different from what it's normal. Anything would apply to him. As the Endless Sorcerer, he possesses the power to revive the dead countless times to entertain himself, to fix the broken vase endless times. He's pretty aware of the power that is inside him, and he knows how to cause great fear among the people he knows.

There's a sadistic part of him because of the power he possesses. Knowing that he can return the things to the state they were, he finds himself curious about the methods to break them. To him, the interesting part is not to break them, but the how to break them, and not being limited to anything.

Beatrice will show himself as someone cruel and dark to most of the people. And that will be probably the first impression that everyone will get out of him. He will keep smiling and sending poisonous words towards those who disrespect him only to amuse himself in their struggle against him.

Beatrice is manipulative, and he's pretty aware of it, just to get what he wants. That is either to entertain himself or to gain something from that person. And he can use any method to do it. He can use a fake appearance or he can either use any kind of seduction to get it.

He would tease, brag and completely call someone stupid with elegance just to prove how great he is. Other times, he will play with words just to confuse them. And he will keep his cheerful attitude just to make his opponent surrender in despair and madness because of him.

He wants to show everyone that part of him so everyone can acknowledge him as the Sorcerer he is. And for Beatrice, it's a very important part of his world, and of course, for himself. He wants to be acknowledged as one of the most powerful sorcerers in all the world, not only to gain his magic, but to have a reason to exist.

Mocking others is also part of Beatrice's charm. But he usually finds it more interesting to do it subtly enough to test them. Not even if they are so close to him, like his wife, the mocking and teasing will never stop. Of course, there are different kinds of teasing depending on the person he's talking to, and why is he doing it in the first place.

While he loves being the center of the attention and being feared, he absolutely dislikes being taken lightly and teased, especially because of his name. For him, his name is something he takes great pride and a reason he would probably stab someone if they don't take him serious. Everyone knows that no one is allowed to say something about his name because of the consequences it will bring them.

To not forget that he can carry a grudge for a long time with someone, especially if they did something bad against him or someone he actually cares for. While he speaks those poisonous words quite amused, he won't hesitate in reacting quite violent towards them. Again, cruelty is something common for him after all.

Despite all those layers that he shows to the world, deep inside him exist a part of him that only those he really trust are allowed to see. A part of himself where he knows the meaning of life, what kindness can create and the power of love. To Beatrice, love is one of the most important part to be able to see the world as a whole and not an empty, gray place where he was left to exist.

'Without love, without anger and without sadness, the truth cannot be seen'

Beatrice was born to be loved by a specific woman, and that's not an exaggeration, his final appearance is one to be loved by Battler. To carry the burden inside his heart and wait for that woman to arrive, and exchange of feelings from a specific servant in order to move on. Beatrice is one to cling deeply to promises, especially coming from Battler. Despite his womanizer-like attitude, that was the woman he wanted to be loved by. But when Battler returns to Rokkenjima and does not remember the promise, Beatrice's heart felt a great pain and fear to not be able to be loved.

He then takes the villain position to make Battler win over him and then make her kill him. The more the time passes, Beatrice found himself to be a living corpse waiting for the promises to be fulfilled. Clinging to the last hope and leaving his last riddle to her, he would wait for it to come true.

Another part of him can be really childish and naive about some things. Beatrice often would get angry at small things, get annoyed by stupid things and get tricked by people like Ronove, and all because he doesn't have the knowledge of the rest of the world besides Rokkenjima. But part of him will not let that be known because of his pride as a man.

He's curious, charming, enthusiastic and creative. He likes to know what's happening in other people's lives, but he will try - and fail - to be subtle about it. He's stupid enough to do kind things for those who he's fond of, despite him having no idea how to do it. He learned the meaning of forgiveness, as he did forgive his wife for arriving late to remembering about the promise, and forgiving Natsuo for throwing him off a cliff when he was a kid.

Through the end of the Eight game, and in that boat with Battler alone, he could not stop feeling guilty for the crimes he committed in Rokkenjima. Beatrice's life is fated to be a tragedy after all and Beatrice's heart was full of guilt, meaning that part of him is still being one important part of his life as well.

Powers:

Beatrice possesses the power of the Endless Magic, which he can use to fix something that's broken countless times, over and over, until he's satisfied. Yes, this does include reviving someone to kill them again and again until he gets bored of it. As the Golden Sorcerer, he's able to use alchemy to create all the gold he wants and not having to worry about money never again. He can use simple magic as well, and it's not limited. He can summon a cup of tea, or just make a chair disappear. And it does have its weaknesses.

This man can also summon his Furniture, the Seven Brothers of Purgatory at his will. Also, he can call the Goat-like furniture and even powerful demons with only naming them. This will always depend on the amount of magic that he can use, of course.

As part of being a sorcerer, he can teleport himself to whenever he wants, disappearing in a cloud of golden butterflies.

Of course, being part of the Sorcerer's side, Beatrice is able to speak with the Red Truth, the Blue Truth and the Golden Truth.

When speaking with the Red, all that is said with this power will appear floating around Beatrice with the crimson color. Everything that's said in this shall be considered the truth, but let's not forget that the truth is subjective to the one that's speaking. It's impossible to lie with this. Only the Sorcerers can use it.

When speaking with the Blue, all that is said with this power will appear floating as well (or turn into some kind of spear to pierce a sorcerer) with the blue color. This is used to create theories against other Sorcerers to deny their existence and prove that everything was done with human methods.

When speaking with the Golden, all that is said with this power will turn into a powerful and absolute truth. No one can question it and will be the truth. Only the game master can use it, so Beatrice won't be able to use it.

Weaknesses:

Beatrice will always flirt with every single woman that he sees, despite the fact that he's married. He can't help himself, and can't help that part of him is always wanting to make Battler jealous, even if he's not there. It's also part of his natural charm to gain something from it, even if they just have met.

Sometimes, and not to say most of the time, Beatrice's cruel side could make people fear and antagonize him, making it hard to get closer to new people in another world. It'll be hard for him to get any new kind of close people with his normal attitude. Or he will just tell people the truth they don't want to hear because of his personality, making his chance to make people get to see the best of him difficult.

To not forget that Beatrice is still naive about some things. He never left Rokkenjima, and all kind of information about the rest of the world is all because he read or listened to it from others. However, he will never admit that to others and will rely on using others to survive in a new world.

Adding to the last part, Beatrice's pride is something that is a strength and a weakness. While it makes him stand from the ground of humiliation and pain, it also makes him not ask for any kind of help. He was raised, and lived through his other lives, as someone who always have to do the job without asking for help.

Beatrice likes to play pranks on people to amuse himself, usually just to laugh at other people's reactions. Beatrice is not the most mature person in the world, but he will still act and brag as someone superior to others. Though it has been toned down with time, it's an habit that will not die so slowly.

One of his biggest weaknesses is the fact that he's named 'Beatrice'. While the people of Rokkenjima, and the magical side, learned to respect it, it's completely normal that outsiders will never be able to see it as something normal without having second thoughts about it. As stated before, to Beatrice it's something to not be taken lightly and won't hesitate in acting violently towards it to defend it.

In Umineko's world, magic is something based on belief. The more people that believe that magic exists, the more powerful it becomes. However, if Beatrice is surrounded by an amount of people that do not believe in it, his own form is in danger of disappearing.

And of course, boredom. When Beatrice's bored, he tends to think of everything, especially his own guilt and sin. Boredom will make him remember all the pain, all the time he waited for Battler, and the consequences it caused. That's why he keeps himself entertained.

Not to forget that his greatest weakness will be Ushiromiya Battler. His wife will be always the reason that Beatrice does everything. One could say that he was born for her after all, and Beatrice will not hesitate in hurt someone in order to protect Battler, even if he has to hurt himself in the process.

Possessions:

His fancy clothes, the ring which is proof of the Head of the Ushiromiya family and his lovely pipe. The rest of his stuff is always created with his magic, after all.

Marking Location:

Miscellaneous: Magic exist. Prove me wrong.

First Person:

[Beatrice made himself comfortable in the closest chair as he spoke with that amusing smile on his face. If someone wanted him to be here, then he would enjoy playing his part in this game enough to entertain himself.]

Curiosity killed the cat, they saaaay? [An amused cackle left his lips.] How many of us will come here, I wonder...~? A game cannot start until all the pieces have been placed, so I shall wait for every single one of them! How many of them will struggle? How many will surrender to fate? Kyahahahaha! I, the great Beatrice, will enjoy this game to cure this boredom of mine!

[With another cackle, he awaited for the rest of the pieces to appear, at least this Game Master allowed him to keep his pipe, which he didn't wait to use as soon as he stayed in that comfortable chair.]

Third Person:

The feeling of the water on his skin as he slowly drowned his own existence to atone for his sins was all Beatrice could feel in that moment. The cold, dark world where he belonged was what he deserved, and deep inside his heart he knew it. He would never allow himself to taint his wife's life with such a sinful creature like him.

He loved her too much to let that happen.

Ah, what kind of face would she be making in that moment? She would be probably insulting him for being such a foolish, selfish brat. Yes, that was probably true. Battler would be not be happy with his decision. But, this was for the best. He endured it all this time to protect her, to carry all the pain.

'That wife of mine... She's so foolish to realize what love can make one do... I should make her remember it in my next life...', Beatrice thought to himself as he smiled. Life was always such a fragile thing, and soon his own would end like it should have a long time ago.

Pain was surrounding all of his body, but he smiled as he accepted his fate. However, a strange noise caught his interest and made him open his eyes to find the source of it. Curiosity has always been something he could never stop feeling after all.

Soon he realized what it was. Battler's body was quickly reaching his to wrap her arms around his chest. 'So foolish, my dear...' Beatrice said with a smile to her, as if he could communicate with her without a voice under the dark sea.

Was it destiny? Was it fate that wanted to take Battler away with him? After this long time, would they be happy in the Golden Land? Beatrice once thought that to himself after marrying the one whom he was born to be loved by. And now, in the moment as the golden petals were appearing from the bottom of the sea, he knew the answer.

It was love. He was the foolish one to not see it first. Ah, Battler... She was always one step ahead in this kind of situation. The sorcerer laughed again at that. Who is the biggest fool, I wonder.... We will be always together, Battler!

Before he could notice anything, the Golden flowers covered both of them, making the dark sea turn into the Golden light to guide them in the darkness of their death. There was only silence for a long time, without any kind of movement from any of them.

Suddenly, Beatrice could feel the wind on his skin. When he opened his eyes, he could notice the dark night above the sky, taking any kind of light away, including the moon and the stars. It was only fitting for him after all, he wouldn't have wanted it to be otherwise after all. The ruler of Rokkenjima laughed again, this time with enough air to be heard whenever he was.

He could recognize the island, but he had no strength left to move. Ah, such a pity. He would have wanted to stand up and wait for his wife to arrive like the last time. What kind of Host would he be otherwise? Breathing was being more difficult, and Beatrice could only close his eyes to wait for his so longed death to come.

"Ah, so late, so late!" The man said with a smug smile on his face. "She's always late... That wife of mine." He wondered when this would be done and he could reunite himself with her in the Golden Land. "You know that I don't like to wait...."

He didn't want to feel more guilty. He just wanted to be with her, even in his death. So cruel, so cruel... So this is what I deserve...?, was the last question that Beatrice the Sorcerer had before slowly becoming a corpse.
