This morning I had my second co-op interview, the first had been for a company that I really knew wasn't right for me but I wanted the interview practice. The interview went really well, it seemed like I would benefit well from the position and enjoy being part of the team blah blah blah
Fifteen minutes after I left I got a call offering me the job. I took a few hours to compose myself and get over the shock. Then I accepted the offer.
Just like that my search has ended. I had been so stressed about not getting any calls for interviews that I was getting very desperate. This company was a total afterthought as from the job description it didn't look like it would suit me, but I took a gamble and it turned out that the description just worded things in a roundabout way.
So the office is wicked close to my apartment (Copley Square area) and the pay is ridiculously high for an English major $17/hr.
It's interesting though. At the end of the interview the head of the production side of things asked me if I could only choose one of the following, which one would it be: fork, spoon or knife?
I went with my instinct and chose knife (is anyone surprised?) and he said that I was the only one that had chosen knife so far. (Apparently there were many forks, which I'm assuming was because they are seen as useful in a variety of situations.)
So maybe my "edge" (heh) is what made me stand out...
