::kill me this time::

there was a girl, she wrote a song,
and though it was hard to follow along
the idea was simple
"kill me this time"

writing one hundred letters to
somebody that she never knew
the words all running together
but the meaning was always there
"kill me this time"

not so much a request
but a statement at its best
calling out every name
until it hits the one to blame
"kill me this time"

feeling so numb, so far
better to just stand by jaded
she found feelings overrated
overplayed, and often hated
and instead of feeling
"kill me this time"

a penny saved's a thought that's wasted
cold nights spent sloppily
nothing's earned that's worth the patience
raining light on top of me
slipping in and out of mind
lost somewhere her sanity
winding back and forth through time
shiver out pent energy
movement keeps her held in one
but now she's either her or me
there's no way to keep the peace
when your body's out for lease

when she came back from her trip
she looked him in the eyes and said
"lets pretend i never told you
i'm glad that you're not dead"
kill you this time
