I will be performing at the Grand Festival Concert this coming Friday, for the Burlington Rotary Music Festival. Which is sweetness, as that means:
I've already a received a scholarship.
They also informed me that I have been seleceted as the 'Star Senior Voice', which is really cool, because that means:
I've received a bigger scholarship.
Two additional judges will be there on Friday night, and will watch performers from every category, to determine who gets first place and who gets runner up and who the rest are that get nothing more, which is nervous-making, but also means:
I might get a REALLY big scholarship.
For all those noting that I was jumping around like a little kid with too mcuh sugar, however, that had nothing to do with it. I just was really...erm...connected to a Blues Brother's song! That's it!
I got everything I need...almost
I got everything I need...almost
I got everything I need...almost
I got everything I need, almost, but I don't got you, and you're the thing I need the most.
Brilliant songwriting by the Downchild Blues Band, for the lovely and talented Blues Brothers.
(I am a little more kiss and tell than I'd like to be, but I'm not kiss and announce over the Internet. I think. Or at least, I'm not this time.)
So, listening to music it is. More work ahead, because that's what life should be. A continuous bout of great work.
