I was doing so damn well, too, so damn well! I had gone over half of the semester without any hints that I was going to have to have any sort of injury that could possibly result in a hospital run. Luckily, I got myself out of this one (no one was very insistent on it, too), so my no-visits-to-the-hospital is still going rather well. But not getting hurt is going the exact opposite of rather well. Because I had a wee bit of an accident after the Pagan Moon meeting.
I was chatting with Ashley about how good the dinner had been at the restaurant we went to with Brad before the meeting, some cajun place, and going down the stairs. Now, anyone who has read my entries knows that I have been having very bad dreams about falling down the stairs and dying. Well, I fell down the stairs. Now obviously I did not die, but I did hurt myself and get freaked beyond all belief. Fell mostly on my side with my wrist, elbow, thigh, and head absorbing most of the contact. My legs were twisted up oddly, too, when I sat up enough to get a look at them. Did stay laying down for awhile, until Jeff was satisfied that my neck and back were still whole, that is. Ashley had screamed when I fell, understandably, so Jeff, Brad, and Shannon had come running. They all seemed rather worried, and Jeff believed that I had a concussion. So, to play it safe and keep me out of the hospital, Ashley, Missy, and Cyndi decided that it would be best if I stayed up for twenty-four hours before going to sleep. Which is why I am awake right now and not even lying down. I'm sitting on my bed, with Ashlee as my current Katie-sitter to make sure I don't drift off. All of this feels very familiar. Let's just not repeat the falling down the next day and making it worse part.
Tomorrow, or later today actually, me and Ashley are going into Munising for some political thing that Professor Alderson is talking at. We are also meeting my mother at the cafe a bit early, since she lives near Munising. I'm wondering if it'll end up being longer than just a little bit or what, not fully sure. Because I'm not fully sure what the plans are exactly, since Ashley's the one who made them. I was having slight issues holding the ice pack and talking on the phone at the same time for whatever reason.
In news that does not involve pain - I finished my Kaylee/River prompt table ficlets!!!! If I could bounce around right now I so totally would, but I really can't. I have enough trouble getting myself to the bathroom without tipping over. But yes, I completed them... partially because I was struck by a fucked up version of creativity and decided that I might as well put it to some sort of use. So voila, my table is completed and I feel like I have accomplished something other than shattering Ashley's bowl to pieces by falling... which I feel bad about still.
Kaylee/River Prompt Table!!! My head and back hurt. o.o
