Alright, so, that
brigits_flame community caught my interest and I decided to give it a go. At least it'll give me a reason to write something new, hopefully help me get over the writing block that has stubbornly developed. This is my introduction for that community:
My name's Katie and I'm a twenty-one-year-old Ecology major who usually loves to write. I have a large notebook filled with my poetry and countless regular notebooks dedicated to what I write when I get the urge, some of those notebooks used for nothing more than notes and plot devices for stories that stalled due to the abandonment of my chocolate-loving muse who I fully believe abandons me for a Colombian girl. I love animals (I volunteer at the local shelter), I tolerate old people (some of the ones at the nursing home I volunteer at are cool), bike riding can't be beat and swimming is great fun despite my fear of deep water. I'm a vegetarian who doesn't care if you meat so long as you don't care that I don't. Buffy the Vampire Slayer is one of my first loves, Star Trek is my most recently revealed and Wheel of Time falls somewhere into the middle along with Harry Potter and A Song of Ice and Fire. The Golden Girls don't count because I just think of them as a way of life that's been in mine since I was maybe seven.
My family has four dogs, a cat, a hamster and an eighteen-year-old they insist is my brother. My step-father counts as my dad in my mind despite nearly eight years of disliking him and my mom is my mom. Without the two of them I'm pretty sure that I would be a lot less messed up creative. I only live with them during the summer, and hopefully this is the last one because next year I intend to be an intern for something that'll actually go along with my desired career pathway.
Think that's pretty good for a basic introduction. Except for one thing - the titles for all my entries come from whatever I'm listening to at the time, be that people around me or music.
As I promised, I will
haunt all of you until this is completely filled.
I like working with Jess W. and Jody - even when the walk-in cooler breaks and Jody goes into this strange sort of freak out that makes me edge away with a knife in hand just in case she turns on me.
