Have A Happy Holiday

Dec 23, 2007 12:33

My grandfather is watching some show that has pickup trucks pulling "weight sleds" which look slightly like some sort of farm equipment. Something in which the trucks more often than not end up totally dead. And grandma is reading/ranting about NASCAR... I come from a family of hicks. I am frightened.

I woke up from a nightmare about Filppula being traded to the Pittsburgh Penguins for Crosby to find that a) I had a blinding headache, b) it was only nine o'clock, and c) it was raining. Come on, Mother Nature, it's winter here! Do we really need to be reminded that winter means snow, not rain? You're getting on track now though, down in the high twenties less than four hours later, not bad. Now just kick up the snow so that it is not another brown Christmas here in Saginaw or Ithaca, or wherever it is we're supposed to be this year. I am sorry, Mr. Weatherman, but I do not believe your slanderous, sacrilegious lies that say it will be forty degrees this Friday. But seriously, Filppula going to the Penguins - that's a nightmare!

Oh yeah, and since I'll be very busy for the next two days due to the holiday and all, I'm just going to say this now:

Grandpa & Grandma: How'd you get the hat on her?
Me: I didn't, I photo-shopped it.

event: holiday, family, weather, sports: hockey, nightmare, explosions in my head, season: winter, weird, fuzzy little mammals
