I think that an entire semester spent reading about the views of this socialist and that socialists (from Marx to Brown to Michels) has taught me that I really don't care for the way their minds tend to work. Sure, some of them are undeniably brilliant, and some of their ideas might even be able to work now and again. But on a whole, it's not all that possible. The only way that sociology/communism would be able to work out the way that a lot of them want it to would be if the entire world went on that policy at the same time Otherwise it's pretty much pointless and will only end badly. Plus, the United States seems to have a hatred of socialism and communism built in. Except for the comparatively small groups that support it, that is. It's one of those things that looks and sounds pretty, but it'll never work like the plans. It's unreasonable, just like anarchy. Okay, that was harsh, socialism is more sane than anarchy.
Went and got tickets for the hockey game against Michigan Tech (our rivals) this Friday. That is the sole reason why we are not heading downstate until Saturday - so that we can see this game. It's an important one, and the only way to get good tickets is to get up at the crack of dawn for them. We got first and second row tickets for the student section; haven't had ones that close all of this semester. It'll be great.
Tomorrow is my last final, so I'd better get back to reading the ravings of various socialists . There's a Red Wings game on tonight (against the Nashville Predators) and I won't get much read during that. If I have the first read through of one book done, though, then I can get the next book done after and do my second read-throughs in time for the exam at noon. Then I'm done for the semester. G.P.A.-wise it'll probably be my worst, but I can settle for that. I was learning how to juggle having a job and school at the same time, and I learned that eighteen credits is way too much to juggle when there's class and house stuff to get done. Not going to be making that mistake again, that's for sure.
I do hate the drunk people in the lobby, I'll admit it. They're over there giggling and waiting for their ride to their next party. *insert rolling of the eyes*
Oh - and the nightmares are back, that's why it's been so easy for me to stay up all night and so hard to just go to sleep at night. I'm hoping they'll go away again soon, can't handle this much longer until I just pass out. Luckily, finals are almost over for me, and that means I can pass out whenever the hell I want for however long I want.
