Pulls A Smile

It was an interesting weekend. Hockey was good on Saturday (Ellingson, where the hell did you come from and why have we never played you before??!!) despite a 3-2 loss. But still, they played about 110% better than they did Friday, and it was impressive. Hopefully they'll keep that up and take out the Broncos this weekend. It'd be nice to have a CCHA victory, don't you think? And possible if they all keep up their good work and try maybe just a little harder when it nears the end of the game.

Kristen and Lindsay being up was interesting, and different. Right after they departed on Sunday, the other side of my family (mom, Rachel, Kid, Keith and Aunt Cherrie) stopped by for a visit. We went to the Chinese buffet, had a time full of laughs, then proceeded to Wal-mart. When we were there, Aunt Cherrie ordered me to pick out a pair of tennis shoes since I don't have any and haven't been able to afford a pair just yet. Now I have a pair though, and they are nice. ^-^

And I have to add in a note that this is the first relationship that has ever been actually cute. As in cuddling, little kisses, holding hands all the time... okay, you can all go throw up now. But seriously, it's adorable and I love it. Not only adorable... but yeah, it's there and it makes me happy. That kind of happy where you have a stupid smile plastered on your face at the weirdest moments, or you start humming at completely random times... and then, the kind of adorable that makes people uncomfortable or envious and you feel bad about it for awhile, then realize you shouldn't because it's not a common thing and it makes you happy.

It is also snowing outside. Like, hardcore snow. Winter has arrived in Marquette, and it is beautiful. Even if it doesn't stick (unfortunately, the ground is not quite frozen) it is still snowing hard. If the ground was frozen, then it'd be a nice layer of white out there right now.

Now I'm going to go back to my NaNo writing. I keep forgetting to update my actual wordcount on the site (it loads slow anyhow) but I'm caught up. So maybe I'll play the Sims2 instead. Not sure.
