Evidently there's some kind of software out there that will process a writing sample and replace random words with synonyms.
I keep running across articles that are (probably) plagiarized material and have been published under what are (probably) fictitious names, stuffed with links to sites selling products that have nothing to do with the subject matter, and full of words that are context-inappropriate but would be listed as synonyms for words that would make sense.
For example:
"As a specialist speaker, everything you do the minute you walk into the room sets the tone for your warning. Without even speaking one word, you can determine just how many people you will reach because their betrothal to your moral hinges on you; not on them. You can have a fantastic topic to speak on and great presentation skills, but without conversation the passion you have about your topic, none of it really implies!"
