It's a bird, it's a plane... it's a blog update
I'm flying home. Yay! I'm stuck at the airport for at least another hour. Boo!
I hate layovers and this hasn't been one of my best experiences. So I decided to blog about some of it: Flying is a Pain in My Ass! Read/comment/recommend to friends please and thank you.
I can't wait to get home!
Oh and I happen to be the only passenger to be travelling with a puffy, bulky winter coat on the reasonably warm last day of April. That's because the monster weighs a good 2lbs and was putting me over the limit.
Oh, that reminds me that I don't like flying USAirways. Their customer service has been generally and consistently curt to the point of rude. And the minute your check in weighs 1.1lbs over 50 they charge you $90. It's a lucky day when you get away with 51lbs. Delta is similar. My experience with American Airlines has been drastically different. They are always sweet and understanding and accommodating. And I've gotten away with an excess 3-5lbs on occasion. Not to say that that's right. But it's nice to get a little leeway when you're an unemployed student living thousands of miles away from family and civilization. Gonna try to stick with AA as much as possible from now on.
