The lost geek...
Sometime in the all too near future, I will have to pick out a smart phone. With medicine keeping apace with technology, med students are "recommended" downloading apps & guides. Better to have the info on hand than to run to the back room to flip through a few books I guess.
I'm a self-proclaimed geek. I like my technology and new gadgets get me excited. But for the life of me, I can't figure out these smart phones! I'm in utter confusion over the iPhone, Blackberry & Android, especially since all three are now (finally!!!) on the Verizon network.
The Android is the new kid on the block, but I favor it since I'm pro all things Google & open source. But the Blackberry & iPhone have time on their side. Other than that, I have no clue what questions I should be asking, what features I should be looking for, and which of these will last a couple of years without needing an upgrade. Help!
I'm also looking into an iPad/2, but the Motorola Xoom (Android smart tablet) once again might take the edge because of my preference for all things Google.
