NaNo Day 11

Nov 11, 2009 22:20

I finally got some writing done today and doubled my word count from 700+ words to 1,534 words! It felt really good to break the 1K mark; feels like real progress finally.

I was browsing through some old writing and came across a scene from a different (abandoned) project that I really like even now. I'm thinking of reworking it and using it in this attempt. The scene itself would work wonderfully with this new plot, with a change in setting and time period of course. I am excited that the plot lends itself to using that particular scene as it was a tough write the first time and my efforts were well received. Hopefully it works equally well. Anyone who might see this novel in the future...just to warn you, things go beyond PG for a bit (necessary for character development).

Anywho...life is hectic, tough and refuses to adhere to a set routine. But I can't complain since that is the nature of the profession I have chosen! =)

I'm tired, but in good spirits - chocolate, especiall Godiva, goes a long way in ensuring I stay happy! ;)

I plan on getting a little more writing done, and then it's off to bed as I will be at school for a good 10 hours tomorrow (*wails at the mere thought*)

40 days and 18 hours to take off!!!

nanowrimo, countdown
