Work Sucks!
So I've had a lot of changes happen at school. They've extended our hours by 1/2 an hour every day without extra pay because technically we're not getting any extra teaching hours (over 120 a month anyway). I get 4 half an hour breaks each week, so it kind of evens out, but it is annoying to have to come in early.
My director and I got into a huge fight about it. I was trying to explain that we felt it was ridiculous and not within our contract and I had an angry tone in my voice, but I wasn't yelling. I was pissed off because she targteted one other coworker and I. It caused a ton of drama and the owner got involved. He basically said that it was an international law that people work 8 hour work days. Tell that to the kids working in sweathsops in India and China.
Anyway, I ended up apologizing to the owner for my reaction to the director. I think that he made her come apologize to me because the next day she did. Well, in her way anyway.
Things were ok till last week. I found out that they told my doctor not to tell me to go home and rest when I had my kidney infections because it wasn't "acceptable." I was SO pissed. They are messing with my health and that is not ok. Anyway, I'll never work in a hagwon again and I only have a few weeks till Linds comes and then less than a month to work after she leaves, so I could care less about the job I do here. I just don't put any effort in anymore with the way they treat me.
In other news, I have a little over a week until I have my MBA!!! Wheeee!!! Hello freetime! Wait, what is free time? This exists to other people? So much hard work and it's soooo worth it.
