Except that when they blow a +7 saving throw, um, you aren't saved.

At least that seems to be the case on Discworld. Even if they use stand-ins instead of larping themselves. Gods are lazy.
i should probably thank1mrchristopher and his partner in crime for causing me to become addicted to that series - as if i needed an addiction at this stage of my life, what with needing to be too busy and all. i'm on The Light Fantastic now, which is actually my fourth book into the series (i detoured to Guards! Guards! and Men at Arms after The Colour of Magic, for personal reasons involving a small bookstore in Cheney and the books handed to me to read, but those both fall under the category of another story).
Of course, things could be worse - i could run into one of those pesky zombie hobo pirate ninjas (who tend to listen to pop country - which is my bane). Although, seeing as they tend to eat hipsters and that i'm not at all cool enough to be one, i should be fine. Besides, come tomorrow we will either all be dead or on the road to knowing substantially more about the universe.
