sad but glad

I stayed in my PJs all day today because of a boy. But I’m not really sure that you could call a 35 year-old man a boy, but I do. Well, he’s part of the reason that I didn’t get dressed, that and I slept in ‘til 1:15 pm. That was because of my rockin’ New Year’s Eve party I went to the night before. I was up ‘til 4:30. I saw The Killers perform, which was totally awesome, along with a few other bands whose names I cannot remember, nor would I really care to. There were numerous DJ stages with different music that fit their surroundings, whether it was R&B in China Town, or rock violin on 5th avenue. It was the New York City set on the back lot of Paramount studios. There was also a VIP room that had some pretty hot Cirque de Solei performances. All of it was awesome. And in Times Square, where Carmen Electra did the countdown, they had a Ferris wheel, and free Starbucks and energy drinks. The DJ on that drag was the best. Lucky for me, because that’s where I was most of the night, it worked out nicely because it was by the bar with one of the hottest bartenders, it had the best music and eye candy, a win, win. Ok, even the portable bathrooms that were brought in for the party were amazing. They were giant trailers and they had like 7 stalls in them. The stall doors were wood, and they had running water and Kleenex boxes in every stall, oh, and there was a bathroom staff in there at all times, so it was always spotless! Wonderful, and there was never a line, which is saying a lot for a party with some 6,000 people, and 40 bars. So staying up ‘til 4:30 and sleeping in the next day ‘til 1:15 and losing a whole day was totally worth it. Oh, and did I mention I got paid to attend this party? Oh yeah, that rocked too.
