End of Term

Jan 16, 2008 10:58

Today my Intro to Art/Art History Professor told me that he won't be teaching Art of the Modern World next term. They took it away from him without even telling him, and replaced him with a newer, younger (read: less hippyish) model. He looked like a kicked puppy, poor guy. I feel bad about it, mostly because this likely means I'll have to buy the textbook, instead of getting by with my $6 Half-Price Books out of date edition that he likes to use, but I kind of don't feel bad about it, because there is seriously some room for improvement.

Eight days left in the term after today. I'm looking at a paper and final for both art classes, a final test and project for Group Dynamics, a final test for College Survival Skills, TWO more tests for Algebra (and a bunch of homework), and my final essay and a test for English Comp. I'm relatively sure that I'll get an A in every class but Group Dynamics, where I'm hoping to at least get a B. That will put my GPA at 3.82, which is nothing to complain about. But I'd still prefer 4.0, as I think I'm going to be taking some rough courses soon, and I'd hate to already be "in the hole" so to speak.

Still looking for a job. Still wanting to move. Still trapped and frustrated.
