1. Animals are awesome, except when they break stuff. Best of luck with the horsies and other critters until your mom gets back. My own mother never left me at home more than a day with the horses but every time she did, someone came down with colic or something. They seem to "know" when the Queen isn't around. My own Strider was like that: haven't seen mom in a day? Oh, better get into some sort of dire physical trouble to bring her back! Funny now, not so much then. (And Green Apple Ice is one of my favorites; try the Blueberry and Lemonade mixed drinks they came out with!)

2. Good for you of wiping your hands of his mess. It was truly his mess and you are a saint for putting up with and trying to bring out all the good in him. The fact he is embarrassed means something but the fact he hasn't done anything about changing his behavior means a lot, too. *hugs* I'm sorry you lost your friend.

3. "I'll never get lost or bored again." EXACTLY! Yay!

4. And.... you hit it on the head. I saw it opening day with one of my original Pirate-friends and we both looked at each other and was like, "Huh?" It was so campy in all the wrong ways, like a well written FFN story combined with a Big Book of Bad Jokes and a few million dollars. The best part was definitely Barbossa at the end. And he told a good story of how he ended up as he was. Geoffery Rush saves the movie again! I loved the mermaid and the missionary, but I'm kinda pissed they ended the story there. It was so open ended and sudden. Like having a popsicle and enjoying it and then the bottom bit breaks off; well, it was good while it lasted, but it would have been nice to finish the damn thing.
