Had the best lunch hour in a LONG time today. I'd thought about going out to Arby's or something, but it was pouring to the point of not being able to see in front of you, so there was no way I was leaving the store today! I bought some stuff and ended up in the indoor lounge with a few coworkers, and we ended up talking about the most ridiculous things and laughed until we cried XD Beauty of it was that the age range went from 19 to 60+. So great! Then later I had to relay a story about how a customer was buying some live fish and when she put the bag on my counter, the thing sprung a leak in the corner and started shooting everywhere. The people in line behind her practically ran for cover and headed for the register behind me; I had to try so hard to keep from laughing. And the fishies didn't spill out, so it was all OK.
Still somewhat distracted by the stupid little man in produce. And I use that term ever so endearingly, mind. I can't help it. I look up over there and he looks like a friggin' hobbit pushing that cart around and picking through fruits and vegetables. I half expect him to start yelling about second breakfast at any given moment. >< That's probably half my problem with him, I think. Not so much that I don't realize he's pretty run-of-the-mill for this area, but part of my mind tells me he's Pippin in some weird, southern gentleman type form. Heh.
But anywho, yes, the laughter with friends was good. I think it served as therapy to us all, whether we realized it or not.
OH! And I bought a lanyard from an eBay seller to hang my name badge on. It's got the PotC logo and skull printed on it. <3
