Friday I put Sawyer's halter and lead on; I was going to just bring him out and then turn him loose in the yard for a while so he could get some exercise and stretch his legs. I was barely out of the gate with him when he started trying to bite me, bite his rope, bite HIMSELF, and when I tried reprimanding him for it, he reared up really high, over and over, and proceeded to try and stamp on me. Yikes. Thankfully Dad helped me get him under control and we put him back in the pen for a half hour or so before letting him out.
He did it again today. I worked with him a while from the other side of the corral (sad, I've gotten that scared of him :( ) and he calmed down a little. Then after he was loose, he managed to hop the fence and ended up in the pasture with Sweet Tart and Echo. OMG! I seriously need to acquire some cash so I can have his balls cut off. Fortunately, even though Sweet Tart was idiotic enough to try peeing all over him, she also kicked the crap out of him too, thus preventing an "Ooops!" incest baby. Then my dog, Strider slipped through the fence and was gone for 15 minutes. Sigh.
I seriously hope I pass my CNA test this time. We need more income so badly right now it's beyond funny. New fences, and especially turning our three stallions into eunuchs geldings. Yes, Walker too. No more foals. No more horny stallions. There's no market for horses right now, especially not mutts, so we're stuck with these guys, and we may as well make them as tolerable and useful as possible :-P
P.S. At least I had one goody today though. The DVDs of House seasons 2 and 3 that I ordered on Thursday have already shipped and it looks like they'll be here tomorrow, yay!
