Today, a friend of mine cried in her class. Apparently, she was in deep sorrow because her only friend in class left her current course to enter a nursing school. So this friend of mine was depressed and she felt like she had been left behind. It was her choice to be in a different class from her close friends because she knew what she needed to do. Bear in mind that the school she's attending now is not in the top of her college list. Indeed, it's the last resort.
The first thing that crossed my mind when I saw her sorrowful face was that I knew what it was like to be in that situation. How much it hurts, how much you felt like crying your pain away, how much you really feel like talking to your best friend, and you can't stop comparing your fate with other people. And also, it's no doubt you keep questioning God. Why why why?
I felt so sorry for her not being happy, and I can only pray for her. That's the best thing that I can do. I've been through that stage in the past. I prayed that God will open up her heart to accept things as they are because I do believe you will realize all the good things once you willingly open up your heart and be glad and thankful for all the blessings you might even have forgotten. Now that's what the Lord taught me. With love.
Let's always pray for one another. Make it a habit to pray for everyone who is in need. No matter who they are. Be it a stranger you met in hospital, sobbing and crying because of a sudden death of a loved one. Or people who lose their loved ones in different sorts of tragedy, just pray that God will give them the strength that they need in order to fortify themselves. Or other people who are struggling in whatever conflicts they might be facing. You need to do your part. Prayer can move mountains, yes, only with faith. Without faith it is impossible to please God, as the bible says. Pray for others because it is certainly true that you want others to the just the same thing for you.
Today, I resolved to be this person who I'd always love to be, a person devoted to prayer. A contemplative prayer. Let's make it a habit to always pray in all times, Amen?
P/S: I'm off to do my revision now. I'm having a slight headache. *sigh* I didn't get enough sleep. Pray for me? :)
