I think I'm well over due for a post. So here goes the updating.
Dev spent 4 months deployed between Sept and Jan, i think i handled it quite well. First time going out on my own I did have a panic attack, it wasn't something overly big and after that time i was just fine going around on my own. Kinda odd after spending 8 months with him always there. But enjoyable at the same time since I didn't have to feel bad if I wanted to linger in the romance section of the book store. Normally I just look for what i want then let him gtfo out of there. I think that makes me a good wifey.
In Feb Zack came and hung out with Dev and me here in Spokane. They've been friends since they where in high school. Zack I met online around that time they knew each other living in fort hood. Zack tended up come and go turning up between things over the last few years and Dev and I had met during that time and he started nudging me in Dev direction vouching that he was a really good guy. So when he got outta the army and moved to Seattle we'd been trying to get the ball going for him to visit. And I think it went good. Got to see a side of Dev I normally don't get too, him acting like a complete boy. I had to resist telling them to quiet down and all that jazz. But when they got to telling stories they got loud at 4am lol but it was cute.
We had our 1 year anni on the 26th. We didn't do anything all that special for it, but I don't see a point of making a big deal out of one day of the year. We go to dinner or a movie and such anyway, so why bother? Even if mind you I still did get get a teddy bear and my white roses for v-day. Only the second time we've been with someone on the day to do something so we didn't see a point in not.
And just a few weeks ago DUN DUN DUN Dev got to meet some of my family for the first time since we've been married. My grandparents had gone to vegas and stop by n their way threw and back up. Dev was working 12s though so he only got to spend breakfast with them on the way threw, but I got to spend some time with them. Made me kinda realize how much i miss my family here and there. Knowing that I missed him way more when he was gone showed I made the right choice. It made me happy that they both liked him. Even if Dev wasn't so sure about my grandpa liking him. They also took me shopping for a few things for the place, new pots and pan and some dish towels and rags, pot holders and a oven mitt and wine glasses. they also brought me all my clothing that made Dev go all @____@ over just how much I have, but admitted it was nice seeing me in some new stuff =P he likes my nightie.
Mom would have came with them but she's having an issue with her birth certificate. Grandma and Grandpa I guess when they filled the forms out spelled her name wrong and the first one she got(that she lost, which started all of this) came with the right spelling. Since she needed a new copy they had to go threw and show it was an actually error, thankfully my grandmas a pack rat and had some old old grade school documents with the right way on it. This all happened because no one told mom that her old id that doesn't expire actually did when they changed it over. So my mother has no id right now that valid so she's waiting on them to fix all of this, while technically not existing at the moment. As soon as that gets fixed though my brother plans on bringing her down to visit which I'm looking forward to since I know she'll love Dev.
