It's only just occurred to me this week that it's Daylight Savings switch this weekend, mostly because of all the computer crap happening at work (still no internet access, and during 4th hour, the entire system completely crashed and no one can even log onto a computer to use the darn things). And this has led me to ponder one really big question....

EXACTLY WHAT IDIOT IN THE STATE GOVERNMENT DECIDED THAT EIGHT HOURS OF IMPORTANT, NEW, HIGH SCHOOL TESTING SHOULD HAPPEN THE WEEK THE TIME CHANGES!?!?!?!?!?

I mean, even if there wasn't any problem with computers (we're having issues printing out bar codes for a few students who have joined the school since the time we initially sent our list out to the state), there's still the fact that everyone has just had their sleep schedule screwed up!

GOD, I will be SO GLAD when next week is over. I get to be out of the classroom again on Monday, busy organizing for Tuesday and Wednesday's testing sessions. I feel worst for the staff members assigned to be readers for students with accommodations -- they get to read out loud, potentially for hours, but cannot have anything to drink in the room because of testing regulations.
