Oh dude <3333333333 THANK YOU. You are SPOILING ME with all these lovely words! I just... my fic has all been flowery descriptions and visuals, in the past, and I've been slowly learning how to be more CONCISE, while still painting vivid pictures, and having to confront dialogue O__________O I think I read so much fic by people whose dialogue is ALWAYS endlessly funny and spot-on, all the theopteryx and bexless and brooklinegirls of the world that I worry I can't ever touch that... but I want to LEARN how to, you know? So now I watch and listen to a lot of footage of these dudes laughing and interacting with each other before and while I write, to try and get in that space. BLAH BLAH BLAH sorry I wrote you a small essay there - basically, it is something that I've been experimenting more with this year and I love what a supportive environment we have here for challenging ourselves and our writing! Thank you for being such a big part of that support ♥

(Also: don't feel bummed! YOU WRITE BECAUSE YOU ARE FUCKING INCREDIBLE AT IT. And you have SUCH a skill for smooth and fluid characterizations! Writing IS hard, trust me, this shit doesn't come easy to me either! LOL. But THANK YOU. And you are SO GREAT)

And YES, I would give a lot to be able to write like bexless does; that is the interesting thing about coming into such a well-established fandom--the people who have been here before are AMAZINGLY TALENTED, which is awesome as a reader, but intimidating as a writer! I am SO with you, though, that one of the awesome aspects of fandom is that we DO get this experimental space, and supportive culture, and exposure to a broad range of writing styles, so that when someone's doing something we like, we can analyze it and try to figure out how to incorporate it into our own styles. Which is what I am doing with your writing, tbh! Which is really fun! So THANK YOU SO MUCH for the kind words about my writing, because they make me all handflappy, and thank you ALSO for making me want to keep pushing myself. <333
