THAT MOMENT IN 2010! Yes. This idea has been in the back of my mind ever since Frank posted those prints online... at the time, we knew they were in the studio and excited, but only NOW, after hearing them talk about in interviews and seeing JUST WHAT INCREDIBLE SHIT THEY WERE BREWING IN THERE, do we get a real sense of how amazing that space must have been, y'know? And I'm SO HAPPY that came across to you, because it was really the thing that motivated the whole story. ♥

I love the details - the description of what Frank sees (or doesn't see, but knows) is beyond the parking lot, the foreign feeling, the disconnect between Jersey and LA.

I'm so happy that worked for you, because it's something I was constantly aware of, and just in general find really fascinating - how for all of them (but especially Frank, still living there) there must be such a mad contrast between where they grew up and the spaces they move through now in their work. And I liked relating it to that shift over time in Gerard's vocals too, love to think about Frank seeing that change and reflecting on it. SO happy you felt that moment came through clearly (and MAN OH MAN shiningartifact really deserves all credit for anything "coming through clearly" <33333)!

UGH THANK YOU. I'm really happy Frank's picture-taking made sense, and felt real and believable, because I really could imagine it happening like that, y'know? Like you say - he was WAXING POETIC about Gerard's ~~transformation when he was singing, and it was great fun to play with that element when turning it into porn (LOL THIS IS WHY OUR FANDOM IS SO GREAT).

I also love how it starts off as artistic, how it is about the posing, the angles, the curves. How Frank talks himself through the whole thing of hey there, Gerard's dick, and how he DOES get caught up in it, in the picture taking, in the camera being between them - I love how it's both a disconnect, but how it lets how turned on he gets build there in the background - vivid and real, but the pictures are there FIRST.

Yesssssssssss. Thank you! ♥ God, this was something I wanted to do SO BADLY: make it an organic sort of transition, construct these lines where they still felt okay about it because Frank was just taking PHOTOS and Gerard was just showing off for the CAMERA... but at the same time they both knew those lines meant shit, really, and how hot that can make it. And there's something really sexy to me about that element of voyeurism where the watcher gets so distanced from their own physicality *_________* UNF. I'm thrilled you felt it worked!

SO HAPPY the visuals came through. It was such an incredible experience to write them with the knowledge that shiningartifact would be bringing them to life with her voice, and she went above and beyond anything I could have imagined with it. That build - until, like you say, Gerard LOSES IT and is VULNERABLE, and how Frank finds that SO FUCKING HOT... god, she NAILED IT. Mmmmmm.

It was tricky fucking business wanting to work their wives and their relationships with their wives into this, and it took a lot of re-writing and re-figuring things and incredible suggestions from shiningartifact and anoneknewmoose. I'm SO happy it made sense to you, and the permission felt justified, because: BAND. AND THEIR WIVES. I LOVE THEM ALL SO MUCH.
