Anti-OTP CHALLENGE: Feuilly/Justitia

Feb 11, 2006 00:10

[because hey, they might even not fight! what a concept!]

Feuilly is slouched in one of the oversized armchairs that abound in this place, his elbow propped on one arm of the chair and his head on his hand. The cuffs of his shabby shirt are rolled up, and his free hand is balancing a dry-looking tome. He scowls a little in concentration.

typist: ...not fight? .... I don't believe it.

The bookcases that surround this small area of clustered chairs and footstools are full of particularly thick volumes - perhaps this is what has drawn Justitia to the area. With a quick, unconcerned glance over at Feuilly, he heads for a bookcase and begins surveying the contents.

The other looks up with habitual, defensive sharpness, his mouth acquiring a harder set than usual; but as it appears Justitia is paying him no attention at all, much less unwelcome attention, he relaxes, and goes back to his book.

Still ostensibly perusing the books on the shelves, Justitia shoots the scowling boy a slightly more curious look. Returning to the books, he asks - in all innocence and friendliness, how's he to know Feuilly tends to bite strangers' heads off? - "What're you reading?"

A second, more civil glance, tinged with caution. "English history." His tone is slightly sardonic, but whether this is at England's expense, Justitia's or his own is far from clear.
