This jackass called asking for Joe. He wouldn't tell me his name or what the call was about, only that he was a customer. So I sent him through and he got Joe's voicemail. He called again, asking for Carlo, but that line was busy so he went to voicemail once more. He calls back and starts yelling at me. I was honestly trying to help him, but every time I tried to get a word in, he'd cut me off and yell some more. Now I'm normally very good with people. I don't need to yell or get angry because I know that they'll be gone in a minute. But I cannot stand it when people are needlessly rude. So I more-than-a-little-sternly told him, "They probably couldn't answer the phone and so you were sent to their voicemail, so there's no need for you to give me a god damn attitude." I paused to see if he had anything to add, but he was silent so I continued, "Now, if you can please just tell me what this is in regards to, I can try to help you."

I was so angry that my head was pounding with the blood rush and my whole body was shaking. It was an extreme effort not to do something more drastic. Like yell back or cuss him out or just slam down the phone. As I was saying "god damn attitude" I was thinking I definitely shouldn't be saying this but I couldn't prevent myself even if I wanted to. I needed to get something out or else I'd do something worse.

It's usually irritating how people don't often take me seriously because I'm so sweet on the phone. But when I do snap back at them, their shock is quite satisfying.
