So I went home and tried on some dresses last week. We went to two different places. Unfortunately, one didn't allow pictures, but the other did. I will say, though, that at the place that didn't allow pictures, the woman brough a $5000 dress for me to try on. She told me that I shouldn't freak out about the price, because if I liked it she could find a knockoff for much less. A knockoff? I didn't know they made knockoff wedding dresses. I wasn't that impressed with the dress, though. I mean, it was a pretty dress, but I didn't see how it was worth that much money. For that kind of cash, I would expect a diamond encrusted gown or something. But silly me, I'm too practical. Anywho, on to the pictures. Again they're behind a cut for those of you who don't give a damn. ^^
1) I liked the colors on this one, but it fit horribly.
2) Another meh one. At first I liked how it fit around the waist, but I later found others I liked better.
3) This is one of my favorite dresses of all so far. It's a simple concept (just a simple dress with a lace overlay) but it's so pretty. I LOVE the lace up in the back.
4) This one is similar to #2, but slightly more complex. The sleeve things were funky.
5) I tried this one on just because it looked interesting, and I was curious what it would look like. It was too over the top for me, but kind of cool to try on. Very 1700s. And yeah, it was too small.
6) I didn't like this one that much at the time, but it doesn't look half bad in the picture.
7) This was another lace up back. I didn't like how it bunches up in the front there.
8) This one was interesting. I ended up putting it down as one of my favorites. Not sure about that whole asymmetrical thing though.
9) For some reason I didn't like this one that much at the time, but now I really like it. There was another girl in there trying on dresses who I was looking at.
10) Finally, today I went to a place here in Rochester, on a whim. I found a dress that I really loved. It's a discontinued style, though, and I didn't have my camera with me, so the best I can do is post some pictures I found from eBay. In the one I tried on, the embroidery in the front is gold, which matches my hair nicely. The skirt is chiffon, and it looks very light and airy. It's a beautiful dress, and on sale for $499. I'm very tempted. I wonder if a seamstress could put in a lace up back for me. >.>
Ok that's all of them. Sorry it's so long.
