(no subject)
spent the day down in tucson. left the house here with belle at 6:15am and arrived at my in-laws' house around 7:45am. put the dog in the backyard, and then my father-in-law and i drove out to my mother-in-law's middle school (where she teaches) and went on a field trip with her class! they did some east indian drumming stuff that they learned from a percussionist at an old folks' home and then had lunch at an east indian restaurant. it was cool! i also learned a lot about ghandi from them, like his 241-mile salt march. interesting stuff, and it all came from 6th- through 8th-graders!
drove back up here with belle after spending some time with my FIL. argh, i hate driving so much in one day. it's 102 miles exactly from the parking lot here to my in-laws' house. at least it's an easy drive on the highway. tired now. off to snack, read, and generally vegetate until chsty gets home.
