Alright, so every so often I start looking at my hair and wonder if I ought to be actually doing something with it. Right now my hair at its longest point comes down to the top of my hips, however the rest of it tends to only come to my waist, which is like a 3-4 inch difference because hey! I haven't had a haircut since this time last year.
So it's getting about time for me to get my yearly haircut and I've got a couple of problems. To begin with, I don't have a stylist here in town that I know/like/trust. I always end up taking B to one of those walk in, pay $12, you're done places, and they never end up cutting his hair the way that he wants it. And I'm afraid to go to one of those places for that very same reason. That said, I ain't willing to pay $40 for a haircut when I know I don't want layers or anything super fancy, I just want the back cut straight across and someone to trim up my bangs and the fringe on the side of my face. (And do my eyebrows, but that's neither here nor there...)
Also, I'm about to turn 26 (ugh) in two weeks. I have a professional job and I'm the only person in the office with hair below my shoulders. Generally I keep it pulled back in a bun or a tail or braid, but my hair is so baby fine that it's difficult to do a lot of style with it. Additionally, my hair is oily like whoa. I'm not one of these people that can go all week without washing their hair. I might get two days max out of a wash. Sometimes I love my hair and I'm really happy with it long, but other times - mostly when it's 8:00 a.m. and I have to be at work in 30 minutes and I didn't wash it last night - I hate it and wish it was easier to care for.
So, um, what do you think I should do?
Poll OMG! Hair!
Last August when I got my hair cut.
EDIT - I don't have a picture from my wedding online that I can show anyone. I have a million of them on my computer, but photobucket blows ass, so I don't have any I can post. Also, LJ has eaten this post twice. I'm posting now.
