The Reception! Immediately after the wedding. Roswell, NM

Jun 15, 2009 14:34

A short walk from where the ceremony had been held was a large, covered picnic pavilion. Except tonight, all the picnic tables had been taken away and replaced by elaborately decorated tables and a dance floor.

Let the celebrating begin.

[Same as the ceremony post. This is available for SP throughout the weekend.]

Just off the dance floor there was a small sweetheart table for the bride and groom.

You can find them there when they ping in just give them a few minutes to try some of the food.

Isabel was giddy with a side order of ecstatic as she kept sneaking looks at her ring. Ask her about what she's eating? She'd have no clue.

Wyatt's attention was alllll on Isabel. If someone came up to talk to him, it might take a few tries to get his attention.

"How's your dinner Mr. Halliwell?" Isabel asked with a grin.

"Huh?" Wyatt looked down at his plate. "It's delicious, Mrs. Halliwell," he said, though he barely remembered taking any bites. "Or is it going to be Evans-Halliwell? Or just still Evans?" They hadn't discussed names in the whirlwind of prep for the wedding.

"I'm a traditionalist," she admitted. "So just plain Halliwell will work just fine for me."

Wyatt leaned in for a kiss. "Works for me, too, Mrs. Halliwell."

At this rate they wouldn't need anyone to be annoying and start banging on their glasses to get them to kiss.

"I like it. A lot," she admitted. "Am I a dork for admitting that I've written it out just to see what it looked like?"

"Scribbled it on your notebook, over and over again?" Wyatt teased.

Well, of course Sam was going to make time in his mingling for the happy couple; it wouldn't do to neglect his big sister, after all, and he came bounding up with a grin on his face.

"Is this where we line up for congratulations?"

"You're first in line," Isabel grinned. "But I knew I forgot something. There's no rope line to keep it all orderly."

"I suppose I could be persuaded to play bouncer," Sam decided. "Which I bet was your secret plan all along, since you're too good at this to forget a detail."

"It's not going to interfere with your calling home to check on the girls?" she teased. She knew how his and Cole's minds worked.

"My cell phone battery needs a break anyway," Sam assured her breezily. "Cole can take over for a while."

"Oh god. The poor baby sitter," Isabel laughed. "So, do you have a hug for the blushing bride?"
