As promised, my makeup arrived in the mail today. I am so completely not a makeup kind of girl. I have a regular eye look that I can do in five minutes, easy, and a regular nude-ish shade of lip color for the days I feel like getting fancy. Sometimes I wear powder. And that's the most of it.

So I was a little intimidated to try to figure out what to do with my new orange eyeshadow and liner. And the fancy brushes I figured I'd try.

First off, let me say this: Those fancy eye makeup brushes? So worth it. They make things easier, not harder as I'd worried. Yay!

Then I tried one look, hated it (because a pro could have made it work, I'm sure, but not me), and wiped off. Started over. I kept it pretty simple, but I like it.

And just for giggles, a pic in which, according to one friend, I end up looking a bit like Christina Ricci. Which is not a complaint. At all.




What do you all think? I promise this should be the last of the crazy pictures, until actual concert day. :)

Now I have to practice several times, to make sure I can do it quickly in a bathroom somewhere along the way to Salt Lake City.
