Gaara found himself actually having to stop himself from pacing around in his chambers. Tomorrow morning a fairly large group would leave for Konoha and the Chuunin-exams. There had been much to prepare, and making sure that Matsuri and her cell was ready ( Read more... )

While he had been planning on heading out once she had fallen asleep, he now decides to stay and watch over her. Before dawn, he even manages to catch half an hour worth of sleep for himself.

Come morning, Botan might hear the sound of running water coming from the bathroom. She might also find that she's hugging a pillow, as Gaara has slipped out off bed and replaced himself with one.
If she were to look into the bathroom, she would see Gaara with a razor in hand, carefully scraping sparse stubble and shaving foam from his face.

Botan looks around groggily. What time is it? Time to wake up, apparently. Suddenly she remembers something. Time for a little fun. Stretching a bit, she walks over to her bag and pulls out a pair of costume bunny ears. Just a little teasing with an inside joke is fine, right. She puts on the ears and waits.

Eventually, the young redhead comes out, dressed only in his black pants and pointedly ignoring a small cut on his chin. It almost irks him that an ordinary thing like shaving is proving to be tricky.

He stops dead in his tracks when he finds Botan not only awake, but wearing a pair of bunny ears. Congratulations, Botan. You have just succeeded in getting the ever so stoic Kazekage to laugh.

And Botan in her birthday suit and bunny ears waves. "Good morning, Kazekage-sama!~" She seems in a rather good mood today. Maybe it's the ears. "You're looking handsome this morning!"

"You are quite the sight yourself." He smiles and takes a seat on the edge of the bed. "Have you been up long?"

"Not very long." She takes off the ears goofily. "If I'm going out, I suppose I should dress more appropriately, then." She gets up and rummages through the bag. There's clothes, bras, and panties galore!

Aww. Gaara is a bit displeased with seeing her starting putting clothes on. She's quite the sight...

But he supposes that they should be sensible and get ready, even though there's no rush. It would give them more time for breakfast or simply looking around a bit.

She a least gives him a show of getting dressed. And it is a nice red sundress that shows enough leg.

After getting dressed, she wraps her arms around his neck. "You know, this evening I'll have to pay you back for that nice massage."

"Oh?" His hands goes to her waist and he tilts his head to the side, wondering whan she had in mind. Well, it he thinks about it, he might have some idea.

She brings her fingers to his lips. "It's a suprise.~" She laughs happily. "You'll just have to wait and see, 'kay?"

"If I must." He catches her wrist and plant a kiss in her palm.

"I have a bit of time to spare before I need to see the Hokage. Do you want a look around?"

"Don't worry. It'll be worth it." She grins. "Okay. That sounds really nice." She grabs his other hand.

Okay. Now we have a distraction for the day's meeting. Hopefully the Hokage won't notice it too much.

"Let me just get dressed and we can head out." He gives her a brief kiss before getting off the bed. He gets a fresh shirt from his bag, and shrugs into his coat.

"Ready?" He asks, pulling on his sandals.

With a flick of a wrist, instead of summoning an oar, she summons a perky handbag and pulls a pair of sunglasses out. Perching them atop her head, she turns to him. "Aye aye, moi capitan!"

He has to smile at her antics, really, he can't help it. Then it's out to the streets of Konoha.

Fairly early as it is, there's not much going on except for the every-day morning-life. Shop-keepers are just opening their stores, children on their way to school, people on their way to work. It seems like a nice town, more relaxed than Suna.

Botan looks closest to a kid in a candy store. She can't help but gawk at everything around! How exciting! She waves happily at the random citizens. Seems like Botan's back in her stride.
