Life goes on, on and on and on... monogatari.

There was a moment about two weeks ago now when I became re-awakened to the world outside of my life. I don't know how I become lost, or how the world keeps moving on, but every-so-often I feel like I need to sprint to keep up.

Well, just over two weeks ago Adam made a comment about health care and the town-hall debates. And my reaction was, "huh? what are you talking about?" I knew of the health care reform. What I did not know was that some people had gone ape-shit insane while I had my back turned. Given, they were probably always that way, I just didn't know those individuals exisited. I wish I were kept that way. Meetings to debate, even if they are rigged for one side or the other, fine.  Being emotional at the meetings, fine, so long as it's not directed at someone personally. Getting in each other's faces? Complete disrespect for everyone? Those not willing to listen attentively to others while they express their opinions, on topic opinions, should just be kicked right out.  I was upset after seeing some of those news clips. Then I read that people brought huge-automatic-gonna-blast-a-deer's-head-off kind of guns to the President's debate?! There's no way to describe my shock.

In summary, so I won't dwell on the topic and get myself worked up, I stopped reading the news again. I couldn't take it. So I limited myself to the Daily Show.  Perhaps not the best source, and I don't agree with everything he says or the manner in which he does it, but John Stewert  is a smart man.

In other news, D&D is still amazing. Last week Sanzo (assassin/rouge) and Aoshi (iaijutsu master/samurai) got in a pretty good fight. Aoshi had gone to check out the scene of a fight, leaving his "attendents" to guard a Stone Warrior who requested our help.  Aoshi went because it was in the nobles district, and he's a noble... it makes sense.  He looked, found bits and peices of a battle and remains of other Stone Warriors, but that's all. While returning he came across a lone man hurrying through the streets toward the battle site. Curious, Aoshi followed. Hidding around the corner, Aoshi hears him searching the battle site, but see's nothing. So Aoshi being Aoshi, he charged down the narrow street, and happened to hit the now invisible "noble." Well, a short lived battle ensued, in which Aoshi kept finding his invisible opponet by his dripping blood, until enough was enough, and Aoshi was knocked out by a single well placed hit in the back.  Aoshi almost killed his own companion Sanzo because Sanzo didn't want to blow his assassin cover, and neither would back down from a fight. Ridiculous. We play again tomorrow... "In Which a Samurai Works-out His DIfferences with a Ninja" shall commence at 6:30pm (5:30am eastern time).

And lastly, this thursday is Morioka Orientation, when I get to whip out my sempai card and be shiny. Ya, I give presenations to the newbies at that time, on "Money Matters" and "Teaching in High Schools."  I'm worried about thursday evening's activities though... suppose to organize a Round1 (sports/arcade place) games, but few people seem interested... whatever. I did what I was told.  I refuse to get upset about that.

Oh! and I totally got Kindle on my iTouch. So now it's a dictionary, mp3 player, coloring book, movie viewer, computer, gaming-device AND book! It's such a rush to have access to all of those books without waiting or spending a billion dollars on shipping :-D I def. enjoy real pages, but when I'm just going to have to sell/burn/send them in less than a year anyway? I'll go digital for now.
