Harry, Trek, Travel.
I saw Harry Potter last night. I took a few hours off work so I could go grab the late showing tickets, and good thing I did as it was practically sold out! We got prime seats. I can't say I was thrilled about the movie, because it definitely ended on a "this is far from over" note, so I felt annoyed that I must wait another year for the next, and then yet *another* for the second part of the final. Oh well, I'll look forward to them, but the books are better... maybe I'll just go re-read Deathly Hallows instead.
In other news, soon Bryan and I will begin playing with our new characters for Adam's D&D game, as our third person Stephine shall be departing the country. Evidently we might be playing on some weeknights at Bryan's place, just some short sessions. Chelsea and Rachel are coming next weekend to play again, which will be really exciting. One night will be a Star Trek evening re-watching (or in my case for the first time) some of the original episodes, and the second day is D&D.
And in addition, we'll probably end up traveling to Australia! Chelsea, Rachel, Adam and I. There is a long break in Sept. we'd use to spend a week there. Ideally I'd like to do both some wilderness hiking/river exploring activities for a few days, then hit the beaches. But, we'll see. Chelsea just threw out that idea the other night, as the tickets are evidently pretty darn cheap at the moment. I have yet to sit down and figure out how it'd fit with my budget though... we might be eating damn cheap for the next couple months so I can afford it AND still send money home. I've been collecting coins for the past year now... I'm sure if I totaled them I could pay for the ticket without touching my savings.
