Where did this week go?

It being friday, I've started to reflect on the accomplishments of the week...

I have drawn a picture of Sesshumaru-sama from Inuyasha. It happened on a whim... instead of throwing out last year's school calancer, I noticed the back was very clean, very white... it was like the feeling when you buy new school supplies, and the thrill you get from writing in a new notebook. So I had to use it for something... and Sesshumaru was the first person I thought of. Now I have him looking at me for about 8 hours everyday. So that was on Tuesday.

Wednesday I began writing a poem. It will probably become an epic, as its based on our D&D game. I'm not really much of a writer, words have never really been my thing (ironic, yes?), but Wednesday I just go such a kick out of playing with them, and looking up synonyms. I got through a temporary introduction calling for an audience, paid tribute to the muses, and did a stanza of setting up the current scene... I figured I'd start with the dragon encounter (talking, not fighting) and then do flashbacks to show the ridiculous way we ended up there. 'cause really, if you find yourself in front of an ancient red dragon, and promising to serve him whenever he calls, any reason becomes ridiculous.

Thursday... I accomplished work. Amazing, eh? I actually worked on lessons, made a couple handouts, and talked with other teachers about our future classes. Boring, but it was done.

Oh, and thrusday we totally got new tatami (woven-reed flooring) and paper doors in the apartment. Was I thrilled or what. Japanese people seem to go on and on about how good they smell... but it just smells like hay. A sweet hay. But the place looks great now. It forced me to clean up my room, quite a feat in itself.

And today? I did arrange my vacations for the next year and a half of my life... I covered all the major travel times, the extended weekends that seem most likely, spread them out over all the seasons... I needed to do this today, as my mother is already arranging my trip home in December. So, I will be back in Ohio (and a 4 day trip down through ohio) from December 19-Jan. 9th. 20 days. That is a HUGE trip.

And that, quite honestly, has been my week. This is what I have been paid to do. BUT, classes start next week. And they keep giving me more. I think I'm up to 16 now. That better now be with the added expectation that I do all the essay grading and reading/writing book projects, or it might have to be adjusted a bit...

Later guys.
