I really need to stop going to the LYS. I only wanted to get cable needles but ended up getting yarn as well *groan* On ball of frog green cotton that I want to turn into socks, two balls of dark blue for Samuels Pullover (that thread is going out of stock and I'm scared I'll run out before finishing the pullover), two balls of multicolored yarn Sam chose "I want a hat from this mum". Sam had a good time because there was another mum with her two kids there, picking yarn for something, too. I didn't listen so I have no Idea what she's making. Sam wanted a huge ball of sock yarn for nearly 7€ first but it contained wool and since we're both allergic I'm a little reluctant to spend that much money on something he might never wear. So now he got two balls of really colorful yarn all cotton. I'm actually looking forward to knitting with that!
I have to say I love the cable needles already. Cabling is so much easier when you're not trying to slip stitches into thin air half the time.
I really want to make Sam a hat with cables but I'll have to see about that. Maybe I'll do something like Tychus without the stripes. The pattern is so nice and straightforward an I think it would be easy to make smaller for Sam. On the other hand I'd really like to knit in the round. Well, we'll see what I find :-)
