Ok, I have pictures!
Here we have a wonderful detail of my
Bob and Weave interpretation:
And here is the detail of the Pullover for Sam
(click the pictures for the huge "full version")
I am rather proud of both, especially the parts where I change color and where I start a new ball. I was really afraid it would all just fall apart at those points.
I got about 5cm done of the Bob and weave yesterday while "watching" Friends and Babylon5. I'm not really able to watch and knit at the same time so I mostly listen and watch my knitting, looking up whenever I think I'm lacking visual info ;-)
I did not buy and yarn today! Even though I was really badly tempted. We were food shopping today and one store has a small selection of knitting yarns, one called "jeans" and they have it in a gorgeous dark red (my favourite color) but it's nearly 2€/ball and since I don't know what to knit with it yet, plus have enough yarn to keep my busy till winter's over....... I guess you see what I mean :-)
I bought lots of fruit though. They had really nice mangos and papayas and grapefruit and oranges and they didn't cost an arm and a leg so it's fruit salad on the weekend ;-)
I also got some lactose free Milk (I did feel a sharp pain in my wallet from that) and some dark chocolate that I can eat without too much trouble.
My Opa's going home tomorrow and he's really looking forward to it, so my brother will pick us up tomorrow, then pick up my Opa at the hospital then go home to their place, get some take out, then he goes to pick up my parents from the airport while we stay with my Opa (he needs to be watched because he doesn't lift his legs properly when he's walking and stumbles quickly, so we're making sure he doesn't end up back in the hospital after just getting back home).
Well, that's pretty much all for today. My life is boring ;-)
