What a crappy day :-/ I wasn't feeling really well this morning and that feeling pretty much stayed.
My darling brother helped me out by taking Sam to the city for an appointment followed by lunch and a visit to my Opa. During all this I stayed home, got a get well call from a really fabulous friend (*wave* I hope you're reading this even though it hurts your eyes!), had some soup, knitted a bit on Sams Pullover which looks absolutely cool so far! I'm at about 11cm and the pattern so far:
7 rows of 2x2 ribbing (3 stitches on the sides though!) in white
3 rows stockinette stitch in white
1 row stockinette in blue
1 " " in white
2 rows " in blue
1 row " in white
2 rows " in blue
1 row " in white
1 " " in blue
9 rows " in white
1 row " in blue
1 " " in white
1 row " in blue
9 rows " in white
That's it so far. I will continue with blue stripes now. My white ball is nearly used up and the blue is still nearly new so I'll probably make a wider stripe now. I really like doing this "freestyle" kind of thing and I hope it'll end up being a really cool piece of clothing that'll fit longer than it took to make *lol*. I'm glad I frogged the first attempt. I know this is going to be quite large for Sam but hopefully it'll still fit next spring because the cotton I'm using isn't exactly warm so I doubt he'll wear it much in winter. The blue and the white go really well together by the way, but I'm wondering whether I should have used blue as the main and white as the contrasting color.. However if I continue in this speed I'll be finished maybe in time for Sams Birthday in late September *fingers crossed* and then I can maybe get some more yarn and make another pullover...
Or I buy more and make this:
Tempting for me.... Maybe not in black but in dark red if I can find that color ;-)
