(no subject)
grrrrrrrrrrrrrr. My computer is driving me up a wall! Something is hogging all the RAM and then I can't do anything. I swear I sat here for an hour just waiting somewhat patiently until I used the switch to reset the damned thing. *argellllllllllllllll*
The good thing about that: I now know how to knit in the round using dpns. I think it's kind of easy, at least when I'm using needles that are too thin for the yarn *lol* However my M1 Increases (first time, too) look strange, there's a little hole where I made them.. I'm not sure why though (I picked up the "bridge" and purled into that.. I was purling round and round, maybe that's the problem?)

Yesterday was pretty ok. I baked a cake, which was slightly burnt because I used the wrong setting.. (I usually use "Umluft" and yesterday tried to use "Ober- und Unterhitze". I have no clue what that's called in english though so I'll explain quickly: Umluft works like this: In the back of the oven there's a fan, and around this fan there's a heating element. The fan blows the hot air from the heating element into the oven and the air kind of circulates around whatever you're baking. Ober und Unterhitze just means there's heating elements in the bottom and the top of the oven which heat up the oven without using a fan so it gets slightly less hot in the middle, so my cake ended up a bit overdone on the top and bottom :-/ )
And since I was at it already I made chocolate biscuits. Sam helped, of course. We did try the dough thoroughly and I felt soooooooooo sick all evening *lol*
This afternoon we're going to visit my Opa in the hospital again and I might just nip into the LYS since I've washed the nice top today and thought I'd see whether the colors match ;-)
