I'm really really sick. I had a bad night last night, waking up again and again because of an aching body or because I felt sick because of the slime and stuff running down my throat or because my nose was running or because my throat was dry or or or. I slept a lot today, too.
I'm feeling a lot better already, but I still need about a million tissues an hour and food is still not something that sounds good. All that slime is making me feel really nauseous (nauseated?).
I did go grocery shopping tonight though. At ten minutes before the stores close. Yeah, they loved us... I got some frozen pizzas for emergencies, more tissues, some rolled oats for Sam, a packet of band aids, a toy car and a lolly for same boy (he managed to cut his finger on the way to the store, it bled really bad and I had told him I'd lend him a euro to buy a car with, so really he only got the lolly, I'll get my euro back tomorrow when he finds his "piggy bank" (money jar really). To be honest, I probably won't make him give me the money. Most of the time I forget to give him his pocket money, so really, I probably owe him 5 euros by now (he gets 50 cents/week in theory, but I can't remember the last time I actually gave it to him).

Anyway. It's nearly easter, Fiz is coming over to celebrate it with us and I'm starting to think about what to cook. Well, what to bake really.
I want to make a cake I last baked about 15 years ago. It's a sponge cake with apricot or peach slices on top, then whipped cream and then a kind of jello on top of that. I'll have to go any find my recipe book.
I'd also like to make pavlova. (http://www.elise.com/recipes/archives/004356pavlova.php) if at all possible with real passion fruit on top. Or kiwi.... When I was in Australia in 92/93 I had pavlova at a christmas party once. With kiwi on top. It was soooooo delicious!

I don't know what we'll actually cook yet though. I have some frozen chicken still and I think one piece of fish, but right now nothing sounds good to me because of the cold. We'll see about "real" food once this cold is gone I guess.
