Welcome to 2007. It'll be fun ;-)

Since there's this weird trend amongst the bloggers blogs I read to procreate, my body apparently decided to join in the fun. Right now it looks like I'm having a weird shaped blob that might or might not be a UFO with a heartbeat, but I'm at 6w7d (ultrasound dated, they tell me it'll arrive by Aug 22 but I doubt that. I'm thinking first half of September) right now so I'm sure it'll improve ;-)

The holidays were a lot of fun, especially because I was hugging a bucket for most of the time ;-) Right now the sickness has subsided and I'm hoping it'll stay that way. I had enough morning sickness to last me 10 pregnancies with Sam.

Other news: The x-mas present socks for my brother aren't finished yet, there's only about 3 inches to go (on 3.5mm needles, so it's really nothing) but I can't concentrate on knitting right now and I'm sure he understands.

Fiz just left after arriving here on the 25th. It was nice having a visitor over the holidays, especially since Alex had to work between the years and I wasn't fit enough to look after Sam in the mornings. So Thank You Fiz!

My neighbours sister just left to go to the Philippines today to study there. I hope I'll see her again sometime, but right now it doesn't look like it *sigh* I still hope she'll have a good time and succesfully study to become a cardiologist!

What I got for x-mas:

- pair of pink pants that don't fit and probably won't fit for another two years.

- Indian Cookbook that so doesn't look appetizing to me right now (smells and spices, omg. Maybe in another two months.)

- Yarn, from my brother no less. Sadly I returned it because it just wasn't right for me. I feel immensely guilty about returning a gift, it's the first time ever I did that, but the colors were pink and purple and orange and it was cotton sock yarn (I definitely have over 2kg of sock yarn already) and two balls of a purple pink chenille that I would have just hated to work with. But I loved that he was thoughtful enough to buy me something I would potentially enjoy instead of something for the kitchen like the last 10 years!

- A knitting Book and Wintersmith from Fiz. I read Wintersmith within 2 days and nights (it was about the only thing keeping me occupied enough to not think about my bucket too much) and it's a great book. I also like the stitch dictionary. It's almost all charted out, there's a lot of nice yarns used so you can really see what's going on in the pattern.
