Every time someone goes overseas they ask me if I want them to bring something back. And I almost always say no, or I rack my brain to think of something. Well, now I have something I really, really want: kids gardening tools from the U.K.
The tools sold for kids here in the states are crap: Cheap, flimsy, and hardly able to do the job. Not to mention sized for a three year old, which makes them miniature for my oversized kid. Several English tool brands offer beautifully made tools for kids, but no one in the U.S. stocks them (I asked) and none of the U.K. Internet retailers will ship overseas.
I thought this set from Joseph Bentley was particularly nice. Even at $2 to pound, it is $150 for the whole kit, including VAT. I want.
