4th of July...
Weekend was pretty busy. Saturday we had a BBQ/party at our place. Rosa ran a "burger war" which was fun and I got to finally make a hamburger topped with mash potatoes. A dream come true. I also managed to install our new door bell so that we can finally hear when someone is at the door, anywhere in the house. Sunday we just puttered around recovering from the night before. Everyone in our neighborhood appeared to have bought fireworks to light themselves, so we jumped in and did the same by running out and buying a small box of random shit.
Yesterday we had to put together some stuff for LoJ, which required getting some power tools. We managed to pick up a miter saw and a circular saw along with a bunch of wood. Been a long time since I've worked with wood so it took some relearning. I think our project turned out ok, considering neither Rosa nor myself are carpenters.
Also managed to see The Last AirBender which I thought wasn't nearly as bad as everyone was making it out to be. I LOVE the cartoon and this was no where near as good as that, but I still enjoyed it. Now don't get me wrong, the film is not great, but I did enjoy certain aspects of it. Also watched Austrailia last night which I thought was pretty fun.
