It's interesting to watch LJ die a slow death. Most friends resort to apologizing with their posts about being away. Without an audience, does our words lose their significance?
-House is moving along smoothly. Most of the inside is pretty much done except for the cabinets that we want to add in the laundry nook and replacing all traces of gold hardware on the doors. I finished the garage and now we are working on our garden. Decided to forgo rototilling the hard clay ground and just got planter boxes to add premixed soil too. Also need to replace all the outdoor lighting with new ones.
-Just finished reading The Amber Spyglass. I loved the series but was a little taken aback by how abrasive Pullman got at the end towards religion. Now I'm not a huge fan of religion, but I hate when author's are blatant with their agendas. Still really enjoyed the books though and got teary eyed at the end. I'm now reading Snow Crash and so far it's been a little rough to get into. Maybe it's because the first few chapters are all about delivering pizza? Also feels like it is trying to hard to be witty. I hear it's a great book so I'll stick with it and hope it gets better, but any book that begins with a character named "the delivenator" who delivers pizza has me a little worried.
