Che... those guys. You can't even cook them. Talk about worthless monsters.

I guess they're kind of cute... in a miniaturized Oars Jr. way.

[Only Marco could call a Behemoth a miniaturized anything....]

Why would I want to eat that repulsive thing?

[ He replied giving him a look. The usual really look. He isn't even going to comment on the other comment. There's no point in commenting on that one. ]

I like my food better when it's not trying to kill me anyway.

See, now I know you're new.

Canned food from our kidnappers isn't exactly that satisfactory, eh.

[Means this in regards to both of them.]

What gave you that idea? [ Notice how sarcastic Hiei almost sounds as he replies to the other. Don't mind him. He's getting used to being human for a while. ]

For your information I don't need human food to sustain myself.

[ You silly humans and your diets. He seriously never got that. Canned food? Well he'll deal with it. ]

Yeah just got here- Awh come on, Hiei. I have canned food all the time! It's not that bad. TV dinners are better though.

[And this former detective totally wasn't taking this situation seriously.]

Oh, you don't? If you need blood though, normally Cube is in charge of that, but he's off in Spero with me, not Discedo.

For what reason am I required to eat food from a can?

[ because he can certainly survive fine without canned foods...they don't sound good at all. It sounds nasty too. ]

I don't need blood either.

[ Stop assuming he's some kinda vampire or something... ]

PFFTAHAHAA. You think this guy is a vampire? He might as well be one the way he lurks in the dark, but he's cooler than that.

[You were just complimented, Hiei!]

Well, there's plenty of non-humans here, but the trolls and others generally still eat human food, so yeah.

As for the reason you'd have to go food from a can, that's what's provided; otherwise you can hunt or grow your own.

Don't be stupid.

[ That kind of compliment doesn't really sound like a compliment. He doesn't seemed complimented at all. ]

I can find my own food.

[ Oh the thrill of hunting. ]

So you wanna tell us what's going on, that one guy didn't spill much.

If it's human for food, you might want to look for volunteers. Just so you know. And don't drink the trolls, they're not fans of it.

All right, welcome to Fortuna, you both. It's a world with two moons, monsters, and decrepit cities. Currently the city of Discedo is suffering acid rain, and something called "fallout" I believe from a giant explosion that went off in one of the slightly nearer cities. Just about everyone's booked it out of there, so if you're there, you've got shitty luck. Shinji's still running the bar though so if you help him, he'll help you.

If you're in Spero you'll find lots of dinosaurs and a lake that has been sludged up thanks to all the acid rain. If you're in Dissimulo or the other places, just look around for people.

Scientists bring us here, give us a chip and set us out to die or survive; all that good stuff.

At least you provide useful information. What else is there about these different locations?

Ah, I'd have to check for Seifer's and the previous watch commanders' records.

More or less there were some wars between the cities here... and it looks like everyone lost. The scientists that are left behind -- there's some hints that it could be an illness, they're the ones that implant the chips etc. And arguably bring us here, though it's hard to say.
